Ways to Serve

There are tons of ways to serve our community through our ministries and community partners.

Prison Ministry

As we continue to support and pray for prison reform initiatives, we also have supported an adopted prisoner for over 6 years. We communicate with her daily, send her seasonal treat boxes, and send her books and movies. She has blessed us in so many ways, and continues to give back to the community in any way that she can by crocheting stuffed animals that we have given to our local domestic violence shelter, hospice house, and law enforcement.

Martha’s Mission Cupboard

Every first Sunday we have a special collection for Martha’s Mission Cupboard

Card Mission

Once a Month a group gathers to create beautiful handmade cards that are sent out to homebound people, those needing extra cheer, those we are praying for, and those celebrating something that month.

We also offer free cards in the card rack in our narthex for anyone who would like to send a card.

Carteret Education Foundation

We have collected hats and scarves for Morehead Primary, and given monetary donations to support the crisis intervention of the foundation

God’s Work, Our Hands

We have done various projects including beach cleanups, Writing Christmas cards for the US military, Packing blessing bags for the unhoused in our community, and packing and sending 75 packs of clean clothes to support refugees at our borders.

Bear Island Recovery

We have regular collections of clothing, food, and shoes to support the work being done with those suffering from substance use disorders.
